Making Connections focuses on creating pathways to economic self-sufficiency - what we call Family Economic Success (FES).

We strive to see that more families and individuals in the Making Connections neighborhoods have the opportunity to become economically self-sufficient. This means:

• Skill development, job training and placement opportunities
• Job pipelines—apprenticeship and permanent positions - for example, in building trades and health care
• Supports and services for those reentering society after prison
• Neighborhood-based businesses start-ups or micro-enterprises
• Neighborhood supports to finding employment
